A Symposium entitled. "Uniqueness and Universality in a Biological World" will take place at UNESCO Headquarters, Paris, France, between 10- 13 January 1995 under the sponsorship of the World Institute of Science (WIS), the United Nations, Education Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO) the European Union (EU), the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS), the Association Française contt les Myopathics (AFM) and the Committee on Genetic

Experimentation (COGENE) of the International Council of Scientific Union (ICSU).
