The continuation of the research effort on biotechnological sciences is essential in Biotechnology and contributes to the welfare of Society in the future. Scientific, economic, social, ethical and legal aspects will be presented. As a consequence, potent tools to help achieve progress in these different aspects will be addressed during the Davos Forum. The following points will be presented and mentioned in outline for discussion - Promising and exciting developments in Basic Science, raising new opportunities. - Increasing applicability which determine new breakthrough for diagnosis and treatment. - Economical and societal aspects, regarding intellectual property protection regulative measures. - Cultural diversity and new opportunities for emerging countries. - The consequence of Biotechnology development on employment. - The balance between equity and justice in terms of access to new aliments or treatments and the importance of founding in this regard. - Improved public perception & information through effective communication taking into account the various ethical aspects. |
